On quiet day at home

New Blog: I haven't done a blog for a year. Its time to start a new song so to speak. I live in the country small town 300 people, several thousand head of cattle and horses. but i am going to focus on the homemaking  of my world.
Today i is one of those lovely spring days in montana: The snow is falling thick and fast and i have some much to accomplish before the day is done. I was going to do a load of wash but weather permitting not a good idea, since i love hanging out my laundry.
So i guess it back to original plan A finish off a baby quilt. This Quilt is so fun i made it for a boy. The main part of the quilt is airplanes and helicopers. The combining colors are white, blue and Red. It 's very patriotic and easy. The square it self is the Kings Square. The square is only 8 inches. I prefer to make the squares bigger but i am using up scraps and this was prefect for the amount of material on hand.
I have been on a fast of sorts not to buy material because i have too much. And it is a sickness i have not to buy a yard of this or a yard of that. I have learned with much kicking and screaming to be content with what i have. I will post photos later of the quilt that i am doing up.
I am going to put dinner in the crockpot about noonish since i am busy with serveral projects and this is nice for me so i have no worries: Here is my yummy recipe:
BEEF IN ONION GRAVY:
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 tbsp. onion soup mix
2 tbsp. beef broth
1 lb. stew meat cut in to 1 inch pieces we use venison in place of beef
place everything in slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours. serve with mash potatoes.
